Data Engineer – help build the next-generation data platform

Transdev is an international group headquartered in France. You will collaborate closely with our Group Data Office and exchange knowledge with teams across different countries.

About the role
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in modernizing our data platform. You will work on restructuring our data warehouse, developing new data models based on clear business objects, and contributing to building a scalable and sustainable data foundation.

You will collaborate closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure that data structures support how the business operates and evolves.

The role covers the full data lifecycle, from raw data to business-ready models, with a strong focus on quality, structure, and long-term maintainability.

Responsibilities

· Develop and improve data warehouse and analytics architecture

· Model data based on business objects and target architecture

· Design and implement pipelines, transformations, and data quality checks

· Translate business requirements into technical solutions

· Ensure data quality, traceability, and clear structure

· Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing data warehouse solutions

Who you are
Formal qualifications

· Master’s degree in computer science, or a related field

· Professional fluency in English

Technical skills (required)

· Several years of experience working with data warehousing and data modeling

· Strong SQL skills

· Experience building and maintaining data pipelines

· Experience with complex data models

· Experience with ELT/ETL and incremental loading

· Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or AWS + Snowflake)

· Experience with CI/CD and version control

Nice to have

· Experience with data quality frameworks and governance

· Experience with Python

· Experience with AI/ML

· Swedish language skills

Personal traits

· Ability to work independently in complex environments

· Strong analytical and structured mindset

· Strong collaboration and communication skills

· Interest in architecture and long-term solutions

This is a full-time position, starting with a six-month probationary period.
